The President of the G20 will host world leaders in New Delhi on September 9th and 10th for the upcoming summit conference.

The White House announced that President Joe Biden will travel to India on Thursday to participate in the G20 leadership summit, where he will also have a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

In a statement released on Friday, the White House said that on September 8th, the President will participate in a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Modi.

On Saturday and Sunday, they will attend the G20 leadership summit, where they will exchange ideas on addressing global issues jointly, including clean energy transition and combating climate change.

They will also discuss ways to mitigate the economic and social impacts of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s war in Ukraine and enhance the capacity of international banks, including multilateral development banks, to better combat global challenges, including poverty.

While in New Delhi, the President will also compliment Prime Minister Modi on his G20 leadership and reaffirm the United States’ commitment to the G20 as the top forum for economic cooperation, including by hosting it in 2026.
