HYDERABAD: Bidding for Fancy Number Plates of Vehicles took place in Hyderabad East Zone yesterday.

One Organization got the fancy number by bidding higher. Joint Transport Commissioner Pan during, giving the details, said that RTA earned Rs 18 lakh.

He said that fancy number TS11Z 9999 number was obtained by Church Educational Susanti.

TS 11 FA 0001 No. Bidding Rs. 3.50 Lakhs was acquired by Kamineni Sai Shivanagon. In the same series, number 0011 was won by Shyamala Rohit by bidding Rs 1.55 lakh.

How to Register for a Reserved Fancy Number RTO in Telangana?

The Registering Authority shall order applications for registration alphabetically every day and assign numbers serially after the last registration mark assigned, subject to the provisions of the following sub-rules.

The Registering Authority may reserve special numbers within thousand from the last number assigned in serial order on the date of application in all offices in the State on an application made online in the portal by using the link made to it by the owner of the vehicles.

  1. Fee for Rs.50,000 (Rupees fifty thousand only) for any one of the numbers l, 9, 999, 9999.
  2. Fee for Rs.30,000 (Rupees thirty thousand only) for anyone of the numbers 99, 333, 555, 666, 777,888,2222,3333, 4444 , 5555, 6666, 7777, 8888.
  3. Fee for Rs.20,000 (Rupees twenty thousand only) for anyone of the numbers 123, 222, 369, 444, 567,786,1111, 1116, 3366, 3456, 4455.
  4. Fee for of Rs.20,000 (Rupees twenty thousand only) for anyone of the numbers 123, 222, 369, 444, 567,786,1111, 1116, 3366, 3456, 4455.
  5. Fee for Rs.10,000 (Rupees ten thousand only) for anyone of the numbers 3, 5, 6. 7, 111, 234, 306, 405, 789, 818, 909, 1188, 1234, 1314, 1818, 1899, 2277, 2345, 2727, 2772, 2799, 3636, 3663, 3699, 4545, 4554, 4567, 4599, 5678, 6336, 6633, 6789, 7227, 7722, 8118, 8811, 9009, 9099.
  6. Fee for Rs.5,000/- (Rupees five thousand only) for any of the numbers other than those stated in clauses (i) (ii) (iii) and (iv) above, in respect of all vehicles save two wheelers, for which a cost of Rs.2,000/- shall be paid. When there are applications for both four wheelers and two wheelers for the same number, the four wheeler applicants will be given preference.

The application for number reservation must be submitted online at with the requisite fee by 1 p.m. On any working day, no applications would be accepted after 1 PM. Under no circumstances shall an application be received personally.

All payments must be done online using netbanking, credit card, debit card, or other means.

If more than one application is received in a day for a specific registration number, the reservation will be made by receiving bids online from 2pm to 4pm on all working days. The number will be assigned to the applicants who have made the best offer. If an applicant fails to submit bids, his application and money will be forfeited. The bid amount given must not be less than the fees specified in subrules (3) (i), (ii), and (iii), as applicable.

The number reserved under subrules (3) (i), (ii), and (iii) shall be allotted and registered in accordance with the manner established in the Motor Vehicles Act, 1988, and rules made thereunder. If the vehicle is not produced within fifteen (15) days of reserving the number, the reservation will be terminated. After cancellation of the reservation, the number reserved must be re-notified immediately, and the procedure outlined in subrules (3)(i), (ii), (iii), and (5) must be followed. If no applicant applies for the number of numbers, the number of numbers shall be submitted to the Transport Commissioner for re-notification or further action at intervals determined by him.
